Sara Eisen
Sara Aliza Eisen (American television journalist) is currently working with CNBC. She is the co-anchor of the channel's programs 'Squawk On the Street' (Closing Bell) and 'Squawk on the Street' (CNBC). She's an Ohio native and was not interested in currencies or markets during her time in college. While she was studying at New York University, she was a part-time intern at an online start-up called ForexTV.com. There she gained her first exposure working with business news. She later earned an advanced degree in broadcast journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She completed a four-month stint at Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. Following her return to US in the fall, she was able to work for Bloomberg's offices in New York. She was a TV anchor eventually. CNBC employed her as a correspondent in December 2013. She has served as anchor of 'Worldwide Exchange and Power Lunch' before landing the job of 'Closing Bell in the year the year. Eisen has been the co-anchor of 'Squawk on the Street' since 2014. She is among the most revered business journalists today. Since joining CNBC, her primary concentration has been on the global news for consumers.
